We also work in schools providing a wide range of services including workshops, one on one tuition, presentations and long term projects. We tailor all our projects to the specific needs of each school.

A recent project we ran was with a group of children from Springs Academy. We helped students write a song in one day. This workshop then evolved into giving the students a real Music Industry experience, from writing to recording to performing their song.

We then took the children to record the song ‘Don’t Hold Back’ at Steelworks Studios, in Sheffield, where the students were able to work with Nick and Kat as well as professional sound engineer James Campbell. They also received a talk from Grammy award winning songwriter and producer Eliot Kennedy, who has worked with Take That, Bryan Adams, The Spice Girls, Aretha Franklin among others. Whilst recording their song Eliot even asked the students if they would sing on the debut album of The Reason 4 (last years X Factor bootcamp contestants).

We then mentored the group of young musicians and carried out a number of performance and band development workshops with them. The students then went on to perform their song to 3000 people at the opening ceremony of the UK School Games at Sheffield Motorpoint Arena. (see testimonials page for more info)

Workshops can be as little as a single one hour session, or as extensive as the ‘Don’t Hold Back’ project, which addresses all areas of the Music Industry. School’s have found our full day songwriting workshop (including a Music Industry presentation) particularly useful for their G.C.S.E Music students (see testimonials – St Bernard’s Catholic High School).
